He's to blame

Yes it's true. After a lifetime of each of us saying "Marriage for me? I think not!" James & I are eating our words and reveling in the cliche's. This past Autumn after a sort of botched but insanely perfect dual apple-orchard proposal apparently set to reverb it's a fact. This walleye's getting hitched!

This loveliest of men will (try) to make an honest gal out of me and I couldn't be more thrilled. I've always thought- if you are going to fall prey to the marriage way, it better be to a gorgeously handsome, warm, intelligent wonder who will fill your adventure with truth, the best dramas and a lifetime of gourmet love.

And three cheers for a brimming party in Buffalo.
September 2007 style!

Between his chef-ery, my paperie & the jewelry- making-box that is our living room this whole weddng planning bit should be a breeze. Sure. Famous last words!

Yikes, the moons

Things are craftalanche around here. With the paper, the jewels, the ink and the chicken dance theres never much time left for little ole canvastheory. Maybe I'm retired.
Or need to be re-wired. Juts, I lay awake at night writing and re-writing Juts, let me just say, it looks grand in my head! In reality though, it's a scraggle-plough bale of scrap hay, with Jut jots of trailed off intentions and string on finger beginnings.
In the freetime I work on various side biz, and face the realization that i am officially one of "those people". You know who we are. We had three oceans of ambition and mantra for the first twenty some years of our lives, scowling and gathering nuts for the hail season. And then one day- we're inched so close to a ten-marker birthday we can smell the burning confidante, and we catch ourselves blabbering on about our dog like he's the first canine to ever roam the earth. Grapefruit spoon to the eyes.

I long for my friends. Particularly the two ladies and that lad. I suspect however, they are too busy to be missing me as much.
Somehow I use that as a warming shawl and it works when it is coldest.

These are the foods I had to eat as punishment in youth:
Grits Scallions Maple Walnut Ice Cream Liver

Last night our dear Christine at Green Zebra wowed us with her salsify agnolotti thing.

MooseBull

Ontario province just passed legislation banning all pit-bulls/ pit-bull mixes.
But they've graciously "grandfathered" existing
pit-bulls, so long as they are muzzled at all times.

People who already have them run the risk
of a good ole snatch -n- euthanize, if someone accuses
their doggie of seeming aggressive.

Does this seem ridiculous awful to you?
This seems ridiculous awful to me.
In so many ways.

Due to a love for my bull-boxer
I guess my plans to Torontocize my setting will have to wait.

So much for poutine Sundays.

the point of teeter

I am awaiting the last of the
Canvastheory bits of chicken, octopi and/or bears.

And then- the field trips.

What I have so far is more than I deserve.

But- if you are one of the scragglers + you are
thinking you might find that little burst to
make a little drawing on gray coverstock and send it
my way, a tiny rebirth of my how lovely will occur.

send 'em if you got 'em
and thank you if you did.

stay tuned for better attention to this neglected
patch of place.

gong hai fa choy.
